What a year! Especially with travel plans coming to a halt and weekends spent fretting over what to do. How can we add some excitement to the new normal? At Cycle & Carriage, we bring the fun to you! As a way of staying connected, we put together a series of virtual workshops for our customers to flex their creative muscles, and got them getting crafty with us at home.
Our customers and their loved ones got together on Zoom to take part in the first-ever Cycle & Carriage virtual workshop series. Held across three weekends, the workshops included terrarium making, tote bag painting, and leather crafting, which not only taught participants the basics of the craft but also gave them the chance to create a work of art to call their own. Prior to the workshop, participants were sent experience kits which included the tools and equipment required.
Terrarium Making Workshop
Kickstarting the virtual series was the Terrarium Making workshop, which gave individuals a step-by-step guide on how to set up and maintain a terrarium. Through the guidance of our facilitator, participants successfully built their mini gardens from scratch!
Tote Bag Painting Workshop
In the second weekend, we hosted our Tote Bag Painting Workshop, where our facilitator gave a quick walkthrough on colour theory before delving into basic colour blending techniques that participants applied to their art. Needless to say, we saw many exciting concepts brought to life on their canvas totes!
Leather Crafting Workshop
As the final instalment of our virtual workshop series, participants learnt the art of leather crafting, along with the brief history of leather making. While not the easiest craft, our participants were quick to pick up the basics and successfully cut and assembled their own leather name card case.
If you missed the first instalment of our virtual workshop series, fret not! Stay tuned for more activities coming your way. To get the latest updates, you can keep in touch with our sales consultants here.
